Myslivna Leprosarium
The second Cheb leprosarium (Siechenhaus), called “Under St. Anne” or “On a hill” (Kulm) was located in today’s place of Myslivna by the old road to Pomezí. It was mentioned in writing already in 1441. In the 16th century it served even as a quarantine location for the lepers from the whole area of Cheb and northern Bavaria.
An elderly-persons home was located here in the 19th and 20th centuries. It burned down in 1896 and the town provided the forest keeper’s lodge for accommodation. Two new buildings of the nursing home were constructed here in 1900.
The first inn was established here already in 1829. The local name of “Siechenhaus” was preserved until early after World War II but for dozens of years it was referring rather to a place of trips and entertainment or the local restaurant. The St. Sebastian chapel from 1687 used to stand here as well but it was demolished in the 1950s. The buildings of the nursing home had fallen into disrepair and the Myslivna inn burned down in 1966.
