US Army Memorial in the Municipal Park
The monument may be found in Municipal Park.
In the spring of 1990, a new memorial to American soldiers was erected on the site of the disappeared border guard. It was built by Ing. Aleš Kučera of Cheb and his family from the funds he received after the rehabilitation of his father, captain Josef Kučera, in the 1950s. The memorial was ceremonially unveiled on April 27, 1990 in the presence of the US Ambassador.
